     Sale of my woodwork has been constant for the past 33 years and has been my only livelihood for that period of time.

 

 

SCOPE OF WOODWORKING PROJECTS

 

RESTORATION PROJECTS:  Full restoration of two rooms at Ventfort Hall Museum of the Gilded Age, Lenox, MA involving remaking and repair of turn-of-the-century, highly detailed, carved columns, ceilings, wainscoting, stair railings and fireplaces.                                 1999-2000

 

 

LARGE-SCALE ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS:  Four architectural woodwork projects designing, building and installing cabinets, doors, wall-units and details for large, architect-designed private homes.            1983-96                                             

Designed, built and installed Victorian style mahagony library, including bookcases, veneered cabinets, dentil and crown moldings, octagonal carved ceiling, and wainscoting.                                             2003

 

FINE FURNITURE:   Produced hundreds of self-designed pieces of fine furniture, such as tables, desks, bedroom sets and rocking chairs. Most pieces were commissioned by clients and many would be considered one-of-a-kind interpretations of Art Nouveau, Art Deco or Shaker style.

 

CABINETWORK:   Designed, built and installed all types of cabinetwork, including kitchens, wall and entertainment units, bookcases, library/studies and walk-in closets.

 

SMALL-SCALE ARCHITECTURAL WORK:  Designed and installed doors, staircases, spiral staircases, archways and columns, decorative wood ceilings and details for architects, interior designers and private clients.
